Giving Mom the Delicious Day She Deserves {Naptime Simple Tips}

Mom deserves a delicious Mother’s Day, don’t you think? As I Mom, I completely buy into this idea. Even I, on Mother’s Day, am happy to hand over kitchen duties to my husband and daughter. I don’t particularly care what they make for me. Honestly, sometimes the simplest thing, like a perfect brownie, or hot bowl of soup, is the best. Here are some easy recipes and ideas for what could to make for your Mom this Mother’s Day. I can honestly guarantee they are all easy to make and are guaranteed to put a smile on her face.

Homemade Pancakes with Butter

1. Pancake Breakfast: There is nothing quite like a stack of piping hot pancakes for breakfast. Get the kids involved slinging the batter to and fro then top them with homemade berry syrup.

2. Cinnamon Scones: Kids and adults alike love scones. Whip up these pretty treats the night before and bake them in the morning.

Peppermint Patty Brownies

3. Peppermint Brownies: Minty fresh brownies always satisfy Mom’s sweet tooth. Wrap them up in a little plastic baggy and give them to her in the morning for an unexpected treat.

Tomato Soup

4. Roasted Tomato Soup: This delicious soup is so easy to make and pairs perfectly with a small cheese plate, some bread, and a glass of prosecco.

5. Grilled Chimichurri Amarillo: This awesome steak dinner is perfect for Mom, and the whole family. Fire up the grill in her honor and hand her a margarita (see below) to enjoy while you cook.

Watermelon Margarita

6. Watermelon Margaritas: Obviously! I mean, after all, Mom certainly deserves a toast in her honor!
