Summer Vegetable Panzanella with Dill Havarti

Havarti Salad

Summer vegetables are always my inspiration when I start composing salads for friends and family. This time of year, they are so fresh and bursting with flavor that I am always sure to include as many as possible whenever I prepare a bowl. Lately, I’ve been trying to take my salads up a notch, making them even more flavorful and exciting. This summer, my trick has been to add a generous shower of creamy, natural Arla Dofino Havarti with Dill. The cheese has a delicious, mild dill flavor which adds a wonderful dimension to the salad.

Havarti Salad

The key to making the salad is not to overdo any one flavor. Balance the lettuces, vegetables and croutons so you can get a little bit in each bite. Then, top it all with just enough cheese to cover the top of the bowl, before tossing it all together. Since the cheese has just enough salt, the dressing should remain mild. I use basic bottled vinaigrette, but you could try any homemade Italian or something similar.

Another great option, if you aren’t into dill, is naturally delicious Arla Dofino Creamy Havarti. You could also change up the flavor a little and try Arla Dofino’s Gouda with Chili Lime or even Chipotle Gouda. There are so many possibilities! All of Arla Dofino’s cheeses are hormone-free and made with just a few ingredients, which can make so many of your summer foods naturally delicious.

I’ll be back soon with some more delicious cheesy recipes for summer and, amazingly, back-to-school ideas. (Is it that time already??!!!)
